According to Punk, the Pepsi tattoo was inspired in part by an interview he once heard with Brian Baker, guitarist for the punk band Minor Threat. The tattoo also serves as a symbol of Punk’s straight-edge lifestyle – one defined by abstinence from drugs and alcohol, with soda serving as a kind of tongue-in-cheek alternative.
The episode also delves into several of Punk’s other tattoos, including artwork from the punk band Operation Ivy, the words “No Gimmicks Needed” in homage to late wrestler Chris Candido, and a large piece of Japanese-style art across his chest.

During a recent Money in the Bank qualifying match on WWE Raw, Punk became entangled in a chaotic bout featuring interference from Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso.
