PepsiCo Announces Plans for $90 Million Snack Plant in Vietnam

Global food and beverage giant PepsiCo, Inc. has unveiled its strategic initiative to establish a snack plant in the Ha Nam province of Vietnam. The state-of-the-art facility, slated to be situated in Tien Town’s Dong Van I Expanded Industrial Park, is anticipated to produce over 23,000 tonnes of snacks annually, catering to markets in Vietnam and Cambodia.

PepsiCo aims to make a substantial investment of nearly $90 million in the construction and operation of the snack plant, demonstrating its commitment to expanding its presence in the region. The expansive facility will span more than 860,000 square feet and will integrate cutting-edge technology along with a focus on renewable energy utilization.

Nguyen Viet Ha, General Manager of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam, expressed optimism about the project’s positive impact, stating, “Despite the general economic difficulties after the COVID-19 pandemic, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam has made remarkable strides. We hope that the new factory project will contribute to promoting economic development, help Vietnamese people through difficulties, and bring long-term benefits to society.”

Construction of the facility is scheduled to commence in 2024, with the official opening expected in the third quarter of 2025. The move aligns with PepsiCo’s strategic vision for sustainable growth and underscores the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the dynamic Asian snack market.
