Portable Admits He Initially Created Instagram Account for Internet Fraud
Nigerian singer Portable has made a startling revelation, admitting that he originally created his Instagram account with the intention of engaging in internet fraud (Yahoo Yahoo).
The controversial artist disclosed this while speaking with content creator Egungun of Lagos during a car ride.
Why Portable’s Instagram Name Reads ‘Elizabeth Joyce’
During the conversation, Portable was asked about the unusual name ‘Elizabeth Joyce’ displayed on his Instagram profile. In response, he explained that the account was initially set up for fraudulent activities before he found success in music.
“To be honest with you, I created an Instagram account when I wanted to learn Yahoo Yahoo (internet fraud). That was why I initially opened the account, but it didn’t work out,” he said.
The singer further explained that after gaining fame, he removed the foreigner’s picture from his profile and rebranded the account.
“I later went back to edit the account and removed the foreigner’s picture when I heard that people were looking for me online because I had become successful. Na working account.”
Portable’s Rise to Fame
Portable shot into the spotlight in December 2021 following the release of his hit song ‘Zazoo Zeh’ featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. Since then, he has remained a constant topic of discussion, often making headlines for controversial reasons.
