Portable Confronts Odunlade Adekola Over Viral Video With Baby Mama, Ashabi
Controversial Nigerian artist Portable has confronted popular Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola over a viral video involving Ashabi Simple, who is Portable’s fourth baby mama.
The video, shared by Adekola on Instagram, shows Ashabi hugging the actor while he humorously commented, “Hope you’ve taken permission from Portable before hugging me? Please, go and inform him.”
Although the remark was intended as a joke, it didn’t sit well with Portable. The singer took to his direct messages to address the actor, expressing his displeasure with the video and its implications.
In a message written in Pidgin, Portable questioned the actor’s intent, saying: “Wetin you talk inside that video with Ashabi Simple? Please, I respect my home and I no dey use am do movie. Why you go talk say she tell me before coming? Shey una no dey collect money for her hand ni?”
Portable also defended himself against public criticism, adding, “But why everybody dey talk say I get wahala? Make una dey talk good about me. Me self, I dey loyal, o. Loyalty pass juju.”
The exchange has sparked conversations online, with fans debating the nature of Portable’s reaction and the humor in Odunlade Adekola’s comment. Neither Adekola nor Ashabi has responded publicly to the singer’s concerns.
