Rema, Seun Kuti, and Other African Stars to Light Up Coachella 2025

Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is set to make his debut at the globally acclaimed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2025.

Joining Rema on the prestigious lineup is Afrobeat icon Seun Kuti, marking his return to the iconic festival stage. Ghanaian songstress Amaarae and South African rising star Tyla are also slated to perform, making it a standout year for African representation.

The announcement came via a digital flier released by the organisers, showcasing the diverse mix of talent that will grace the California-based festival, which draws over 125,000 attendees annually. Widely regarded as the world’s biggest music and arts festival, Coachella continues to spotlight international artists alongside global heavyweights.

Seun Kuti holds a special place in Coachella’s history as the first Nigerian to perform at the festival in 2012. His groundbreaking appearance paved the way for other Nigerian artists, including Mr. Eazi and Burna Boy in 2019, Ckay in 2022, and Tems, who delivered a show-stopping performance earlier this year.

With Rema’s debut and the return of Seun Kuti, Coachella 2025 promises to be a celebration of African music and artistry on a world stage.
