Rihanna Surprised as Second Son, Riot, Doesn’t Inherit Her Iconic Forehead

In a candid revelation, Rihanna shared her surprise that her second child, Riot Rose Mayers, did not inherit her distinctive forehead, a feature she has been open about in the past. Speaking on the red carpet of her latest Fenty x Puma launch on Monday (December 18), the global pop sensation expressed her amusement at Riot’s features during an interview with Access Hollywood.

Known for her humour and candidness, Rihanna remarked, “The only thing I imagined was probably the forehead on RZA. I mean, Riot doesn’t have it. I’m like, wait, are you sure? You can’t lose this thing!” The singer playfully laughed as she discussed her children’s features.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child, RZA Athelston Mayers, in May 2022. However, it was during her performance at Super Bowl LVII in February 2023 that Rihanna unexpectedly revealed her second pregnancy. In the interview, she detailed that the unplanned revelation was due to her attire constraints during the show.

“Here’s the thing — I did what I had to do, right? My jumper couldn’t zip up. No one knew I was pregnant; I just told my stylist to make sure it’s stretchy. So the underarm was stretchy and this was baggy, but, you know, the zip. It just stopped right there, so it had to be what it had to be!” Rihanna explained.

The revelation at the Super Bowl, which became the most-watched halftime performance in history, added a surprising twist to the singer’s return to the live stage after five years.

While her first son, RZA, seemingly inherited the iconic forehead, Rihanna’s recent comments on Riot’s features add a lighthearted touch to the public narrative surrounding her growing family. The Bajan singer has previously expressed her openness to having more children, stating in an interview with British Vogue, “My wish would be I would like to have more kids but whatever God wants for me, I’m here.”
