Seun Kuti Escapes Stray Bullet in U.S. Hotel Room Incident
Nigerian Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has recounted a frightening experience in the United States after a stray bullet pierced the window of his hotel room.
The incident, which the musician shared via a video posted to his Instagram page on Sunday evening, occurred while he was relaxing in his room. The footage showed visible damage to the window and bullet fragments inside the room.
Reacting to the close call, Kuti expressed disbelief, noting the irony of experiencing such an event in a country often described as “civilized.”
“Tell me you’re in America without telling me you’re in America,” he said. “I was in my hotel room just chilling, and boom – this happened.”
Though visibly shaken, the singer confirmed he was unhurt. The incident has sparked concern among fans, many of whom flooded his comment section with messages of support and relief.
