Shakira to Kick Off the Qatar 2022 World Cup

Colombian singer Shakira is back in the spotlight at a World Cup. The artist is the queen of the tournament and 2022 wasn’t going to see that change. She is due to participate in the tournament’s related festivities for the fourth time.

As reported by Marca, Shakira’s career at the World Cup began in 2006 in Germany with her song ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ and ‘Bamboo’ accompanied by Wyclef Jean, which dazzled all those in attendance. Furthermore, how can we forget ‘Waka Waka’ in 2010 at the World Cup in South Africa, where the Spanish national team was proclaimed world champion. Her last appearance in the World Cup was in 2014, where she starred in the closing ceremony with the song ‘La la la la la’.

Therefore, the Colombian artiste will be one of the main figures in the opening ceremony in Qatar, performing alongside the Black Eyed Peas and BTS in what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable ceremony.
