Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Breaks Disney+ Records, Becomes Most-Watched Music Film

Taylor Swift has shattered records on Disney+ with her ‘Eras Tour’ film, marking a monumental achievement for the singer.

Released on March 14, the movie garnered an astounding 16.2 million hours of viewing in its opening weekend, making it the most-watched music film ever on the streaming platform. Surpassing hits from iconic acts like The Beatles and Billie Eilish, as well as her own previous Disney+ film, Swift’s concert film achieved unprecedented success.

According to The Wrap, the movie logged 4.6 million views during its debut weekend, solidifying its status as Disney+’s top music film to date, based on internal viewing data.

The three-and-a-half-hour spectacle featured exhilarating performances, including new songs not included in the theatrical release. Swift captivated audiences with renditions of tracks like ‘Cardigan’ and four acoustic numbers: ‘Maroon’, ‘Death by a Thousand Cuts’, ‘You Are in Love’, and ‘I Can See You’.

In addition to its streaming triumph, the film also raked in nearly $262 million at the global box office, further highlighting Swift’s immense popularity and influence in the music industry.

Swift recently delighted fans with the announcement of the fourth and final edition of her upcoming album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, slated for release on April 19. The singer unveiled the album’s new artwork, featuring previously unseen imagery, and revealed a bonus track titled ‘The Black Dog’.

During her sold-out show in Singapore, Swift shared a personal connection to the country, recounting her mother’s childhood spent there. Expressing gratitude to her Singaporean fans, Swift reflected on the significance of performing in a place with deep familial ties, emphasizing the warmth and generosity of the audience.
