Twitch Streamer Kai Cenat Arrested After Causing a Mass Riot in the Streets of New York
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat woke up today and chose complete violence on a mass scale after he organized a massive giveaway in New York City’s Union Square Park.
He had no idea the chaos that decision would unsure, which became a mass riot in the streets of the city. Thousands of young adults gathered for the giveaway and they soon got quite unruly. At first, the members of the media couldn’t understand why there were so many young adults at the park.
They started revolting, mugging each other and getting into fights very quickly. Cenat is a known main collaborator of IShowSpeed, who is also one of the world’s most famous streamers and a massive soccer fan.
Kai Cenat is Arrested During the Riot
As tension escalated, Cenat appeared in his car and attempted to start his giveaway. It didn’t take long to take a hard left turn as rioters started pushing and jumping on Kai Cenat’s car.
When they could advance, many were still on top of the car and falling as the car accelerated. Law enforcement called for all available units to that location and they really struggled to control the situation.
As soon as they were tipped off the reason for these riots, the NYPD quickly moved on to arrest Kai Cenat. He is going to spend the night in jail and faces harsh punishment for what he did. In the videos released online, there were police officers trying to contain the crowds but they really struggled to do so.
During all the commotion, there is a report from a teen shooting himself in the arm after stealing another person’s gun.
Cenat struggled to escape the crowd that swarmed him as he attempted to start the giveaway. He wasn’t able to recognize this was an out-of-control situation.
Cenat had promised to give away PS5s during one of his streams, which was the reason so many showed up to the square.
Young adults and teens clashed with the police for a while and the giveaway wasn’t even possible. There was a moment in which the crowd was so big that people could’ve easily suffocated in there.
Luckily, there are no reports further than arrested and multiple injured thus far. This is a developing story.
