“Water,” characterized by its fusion of afrobeats and amapiano elements, made its debut in July and rapidly garnered a massive following, inspiring over 570 thousand TikTok users to recreate its infectious dance moves. Tyla has coined her music style as “popiano,” a distinctive blend of pop music and amapiano that resonates with a diverse audience.
Tyla is signed under the Epic Records label, in collaboration with Fax Records, a prominent music entity based in both Johannesburg and New York.
