VeryDarkMan Reacts as Court Issues Arrest Warrant Over Mercy Chinwo Defamation Case
Popular social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to a court order for his arrest over allegations of criminal defamation against gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
A Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, issued a bench warrant for his arrest on March 13, 2025, after he failed to appear in court following a summons issued on March 5, 2025.
In response, VeryDarkMan, who is currently outside Nigeria, took to his Instagram story to challenge the authorities, daring them to arrest him upon his return.
“I dey come Naija very soon, make una ready to arrest me for airport. Arrest no be new thing for the Ratel na,” he wrote in Pidgin, suggesting he is unbothered by the legal action.
The development has sparked reactions online, with many closely watching how the case unfolds.
