“We’ve Located Him in Abuja” – Deji Adeyanju Confirms Speed Darlington’s Arrest by Burna Boy

Lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has confirmed the arrest of Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, who had been missing since last Friday. According to Adeyanju, the artist was apprehended in Lagos and subsequently transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

In a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Adeyanju revealed that the arrest stemmed from a formal complaint made by Nigerian music star Burna Boy. While Adeyanju did not provide specific details about the allegations, he confirmed that Speed Darlington shared his experience of being detained in Lagos and eventually relocated to Abuja.

“We just spent the last 30 minutes with Speed Darlington, and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos last Friday, moved around, and eventually brought to Abuja. The petition against him was written by Burna Boy,” Adeyanju stated.

This development follows accusations from Speed Darlington’s mother, who publicly blamed Burna Boy and his team for her son’s sudden disappearance. The controversy comes after Darlington posted a video questioning the legitimacy of Burna Boy’s Grammy win, alleging links to embattled American artist Diddy.
