2Baba Publicly Introduces Fiancée Natasha Osawaru to Idoma Royalty and Hometown Elders
Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has formally introduced his fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to traditional leaders and elders in his Idoma homeland.
The ceremony took place on Monday during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium held at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo, Benue State. Clad in traditional Idoma attire, 2Baba presented Osawaru – a former Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly – to the Och’Idoma V and a gathering of kinsmen.
After receiving blessings from the royal palace, the couple proceeded to Okpokwu, 2Baba’s ancestral hometown, where he further introduced Osawaru to community elders and local residents. The move was seen as a show of cultural respect and a step toward formalising their union with the support of his extended family.
This traditional introduction comes shortly after 2Baba publicly proposed to Osawaru, not long after confirming his separation from wife and actress Annie Idibia. In a widely circulated video, the singer praised Osawaru as “young, brilliant, and amazing,” expressing his readiness to begin a new chapter with her.
