50 Cent Criticises Diddy’s Legal Team Over Trial Strategy

Rapper and businessman 50 Cent has openly criticised Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team for what he describes as a poor performance in the music mogul’s ongoing sex trafficking case.

Taking to Instagram, 50 Cent – known for his frequent commentary on industry controversies – singled out Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo, expressing disappointment with the legal strategy presented during the trial’s closing arguments. “Damn they did Diddy dirty them closing statements man, I could have done better than that. How much he pay them lawyers?” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, which was later deleted, 50 Cent didn’t hold back: “She didn’t have the worst lawyer. You are the worst lawyer. Remember the name Marc Agnifilo. He just got Diddy ass 20 years.”

This is not the first time 50 Cent has publicly weighed in on Diddy’s legal defence. Earlier in the year, he suggested the Bad Boy Records founder should hire Joe Tacopina – the high-profile attorney known for representing A$AP Rocky, Donald Trump, and Alex Rodriguez. “If Diddy can get Joe he might beat this case,” 50 wrote, “but he gonna have to pay a lot of money, there’s no time to prepare!”

Tacopina later confirmed that he had been approached about representing Diddy but turned down the offer, citing a close relationship with Roc Nation and its leadership. Speaking on The Breakfast Club, the attorney said: “I represent Roc Nation… Jay-Z, Desiree Perez – that’s sort of family to me. And I don’t think they see eye to eye with P. Diddy.”

He also dismissed public assumptions about Diddy’s industry friendships, saying, “Everyone wants a picture with P. Diddy, at one time or another, when they went to a party.”

Ultimately, Diddy expanded his legal team to include Brian Steel, the Atlanta-based lawyer who gained national attention as the lead attorney in Young Thug’s high-profile RICO case. That case concluded with a plea deal that led to the rapper’s release from jail.

Diddy’s legal troubles have drawn widespread media attention, and with public figures like 50 Cent weighing in, the trial continues to stir commentary across the entertainment world.
