Court Grants Halle Bailey Restraining Order Against Rapper DDG Amid Abuse Allegations
A Los Angeles court has issued a domestic violence restraining order in favor of American actress and singer Halle Bailey against her ex-boyfriend, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG.
The order, granted on Tuesday, bars DDG from coming within 100 yards of Bailey and prohibits him from publicly discussing her or their child. The court also approved Bailey’s request to travel with their 18-month-old son, Halo, to Italy for an upcoming two-month filming project.
The legal move follows Bailey’s disturbing allegations of abuse during a custody exchange in January 2025. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Little Mermaid star claimed the confrontation turned aggressive when she attempted to discuss visitation terms with DDG as she strapped their son into his car seat.
Bailey alleged that the rapper yelled at her, using profanities that frightened their child. She also submitted video evidence from a ring camera showing DDG damaging the device and tossing her phone, alongside photographs of injuries including a bruised arm and a chipped tooth.
The former couple reportedly ended their relationship in October 2024. The court’s decision adds a legal layer of protection as Bailey continues to co-parent amid the ongoing dispute.
