Drake and 21 Savage Surpass Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Spotify Streaming Record

In a historic achievement, Drake and 21 Savage have eclipsed the longstanding record held by Jay-Z and Kanye West for the most-streamed collaborative rap album on Spotify. Their joint project, “Her Loss,” released just over a year ago, has amassed a staggering 2.7 billion streams, surpassing the previous record of 2.6 billion held by “Watch The Throne.”

Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release, “Her Loss” proved to be a commercial triumph, selling over 400,000 units in its debut week. The album has since achieved double platinum certification and secured a nomination for Best Rap Album at the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards.

This milestone places Drake and 21 Savage at the forefront of collaborative streaming success. Notably, Drake’s repertoire includes another double platinum collaborative effort, “What a Time to be Alive,” a mixtape with Future released in 2015.

In addition to their streaming triumph, Drake and 21 Savage recently announced a joint tour scheduled for 2024, following the success of their previous collaboration on “First Person Shooter” from Drake’s “For All the Dogs LP.” The co-headlining tour, named the “It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour,” kicks off in Denver in January, covering 20 shows across the U.S. and concluding in Birmingham, AL in March. This tour, known for exploring secondary markets, marks a strategic move for both artists to engage with fans in regions less frequented by major tours.
