Gamers Criticise Reported GTA 6 PC Release Delay Following Take-Two Comments

Gamers have reacted angrily following comments suggesting that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 may arrive significantly later than its console release.

Although the highly anticipated game is still scheduled to launch on November 19 for consoles, recent remarks from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick have intensified concerns among PC players who fear they could face another lengthy wait before getting access to the title.

Speaking during a recent interview, Zelnick reportedly explained that Rockstar Games intends to prioritise console users first, describing them as the company’s “core consumer” base.

The comments quickly sparked backlash online, with many PC gamers accusing the company of deliberately staggering releases to encourage players to purchase the game multiple times across different platforms.

Several users on social media and gaming forums criticised the decision, arguing that Rockstar Games has a long history of prioritising console launches while delaying PC versions for months or even years.

Some players also expressed frustration over what they described as poor optimisation in previous Rockstar PC releases, claiming that fans often rely on community-created patches to improve game performance.

Others linked the delay speculation to Sony’s marketing partnership surrounding GTA 6, although reports indicate that Zelnick denied any connection between marketing agreements and the absence of a confirmed PC launch date.

The reaction highlights growing tensions between gaming companies and PC players, many of whom feel overlooked despite the size and influence of the PC gaming community.

As of now, Rockstar Games has not officially announced a release date for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6, leaving many players uncertain about when they will be able to experience one of the most anticipated video games in recent years.
