Mohbad’s Mother Seeks Naira Marley’s Arrest, Alleges Threats and Abuse
Promise Aloba, the mother of the late singer Mohbad, has made an appeal to the Nigerian Senate to ensure the arrest of Naira Marley, another prominent musician. Mrs. Aloba made this request during a condolence visit to her family by Elisha Abbo, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Entertainment Economy, and Nollywood actresses Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo in Lagos.
During the visit, Mrs. Aloba expressed her concerns about her son’s safety and revealed that Mohbad had confided in her about alleged threats from Naira Marley. She implored Nigerians to help her locate Naira Marley and called for mercy in her quest for justice.
In her plea, she mentioned that she could not singlehandedly track down Naira Marley and shared her son’s account of allegedly being given a bottle of water containing substances by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). She emphasized that her son had faced physical abuse and had mentioned individuals like Sam Larry, whose identities were unknown to her. Mrs. Aloba claimed that her son feared for his life and sought guidance to avoid being harmed until his tragic death.
She concluded her appeal by asking for assistance in seeking justice for her son, whose life she believes was taken due to the alleged threats and abuse he endured.
