Nasty Blaq Decries “Too Much Disrespect” Towards Davido Amid Online Criticism
Popular Nigerian skit maker Nasty Blaq has expressed frustration over what he sees as excessive disrespect directed at singer Davido on social media. The skit creator believes the DMW label boss faces unwarranted backlash, with many allegedly exploiting Davido’s kindness.
Taking to his X account, Nasty Blaq shared his concerns, stating, “The disrespect Davido is getting is way too much sha, man just wants to help people and that’s all.”
Nasty Blaq’s post follows a recent incident where content creator Korty EO accused Davido’s team of retracting permission for an interview she had filmed with the artist. Korty alleged that after she was initially granted approval to post the video, she was later told by Davido’s team to withhold it, leaving her puzzled.
In a social media post, Korty expressed her frustration, saying, “They [Davido’s team] agreed that I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post the video for reasons I still don’t understand. I am not scared of anyone, but I am wise enough to stay out of battles I’m not equipped for.” She added that similar incidents have happened with other artists, urging them to avoid coming on her show if they don’t want to share their authentic selves with her audience.
The incident has stirred discussions online, with Nasty Blaq’s defence highlighting the ongoing scrutiny Davido faces despite his efforts to uplift others in the industry.
