Mohbad’s Family Calls for Witnesses to Aid in Singer’s Death Investigation
The family of late singer Mohbad has issued a public appeal for anyone with relevant information regarding his death to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
In a statement released on Monday by Monisola Esther, a member of the family’s legal team, concerns were raised about sensitive details surrounding Mohbad’s death being shared online rather than with the proper authorities. The legal team urged that any information that could shed light on the circumstances leading to the singer’s demise be directed to the Police or the family’s legal representatives.
“Given the nature of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba’s (Mohbad) death and the ongoing dissemination of information in public spaces, the Aloba Family’s Legal Team advises that any useful and relevant details should be provided directly to the Police or the Legal Team to ensure proper legal procedures are followed,” the statement read.
The legal team also emphasized the importance of protecting witnesses and suspects, noting that the coroner’s inquest has already issued summonses to relevant individuals for the investigation.
Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has stated that his primary focus is uncovering the truth behind his son’s untimely death and is not seeking to engage in any personal disputes at this time. The family reiterated that the Coroner’s Court is the appropriate venue for anyone with pertinent information to assist in the fact-finding mission.
This appeal comes in the wake of a viral video featuring Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, who accused the singer’s widow, Wunmi, of being involved in his death and claimed to have incriminating evidence against her.
