Nigerian Girls Go into Relationship For Money – South African Reality TV Star, Malibongwe Gumede

In a recent episode of the “Frankly Speaking” podcast hosted by Nollywood actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, South African reality TV star and radio presenter Malibongwe Gumede made remarks about the contrasting approaches to relationships by Nigerian and South African women.

Gumede expressed her observations, asserting that Nigerian women tend to enter romantic relationships with a focus on financial gains. She claimed that these women often prioritize monetary considerations before forming a connection, suggesting that their primary motivation is to extract financial support from their partners.

In the podcast, Gumede shared insights into the romantic dynamics in South Africa, highlighting that South African women, in contrast, are more open about their feelings. According to her, when South African women like someone, particularly a Nigerian man in this instance, they express their feelings without an immediate emphasis on financial status. Gumede emphasized that South African women appreciate sincerity and are willing to engage in relationships without an immediate expectation of financial support.

She elaborated on the difference in approach, stating, “We South African women, if we like a guy, let’s say a Nigerian guy, we will not hide our feelings. You don’t even have to start spending money before I can do anything with you. If I like you, I like you. It’s genuine.”

The reality TV star’s remarks shed light on the cultural nuances and varying perspectives on relationships between Nigerian and South African women. The conversation explored the dynamics of love and financial considerations, offering a glimpse into the diverse approaches to romance in different cultural contexts.
